Profile
Where do I come from?
I grew up in San Diego and went
away to school at Westmont College just up the California coast in Santa
Barbara. After a couple of extra years of surf and sand I picked up and
moved to Chicago where I stayed for almost six years. From there it was
to Michigan for two years and continuing on to Oregon where I spent
another six years. Recently, I returned to Michigan for a year and enjoyed old friends, making new
ones, and appreciating the changes in seasons. But not finding steady employment I packed up and headed to South Dakota, which I now call home.
Who
am I?
I have been fortunate to have wonderful mentors
and friends during the many stages of my life. Who I am is a conglomoration
of them with some special ingredients that are unique to me. I am a person
who is loyal above all; I love to travel and explore. One of my main desires
is to make a difference in the world in whatever small or large way I
can. Writing is my first love, and I spend as much time reading as I can.
And then there is being outside: rock climbing, hiking, mountaineering,
biking, you name it.

What am I looking for?
I want to use my talents and experience to make a difference in people's
lives. I want to be part of something and be proud of it. More than anything,
I want to think and create. It is important to me to be part of a team,
to work with people who care about me and hold similar values. I expect
and demand good, fresh ideas from myself and others should expect no less.
How
do I measure success?
I don't measure success by awards or recognition,
or even in praise or dollars. To me success is being better every day—better
at what I do, and who I am. But what really matters is having a positive
impact on people's lives. It could be picking up a piece of trash, listening
to a friend, writing something really great, or giving a stranger a smile.
Success is really measured by leaving something better behind in every
footstep.
